Huye Mountain Washing Station is located in Huye District in the Southern region of Rwanda. Huye can process 400 tons of cherries each year, which are grown at an altitude of 1,640 meters to 1,860 meters. The washing station not only processes cherries, but has the ability to roast and cup coffee. The manager plans to expand the station's capabilities further by planting a demonstrate plot to teach farmers best practices. Huye Mountain also has a second payments program that delivers a cash bonus to farmers at the end of each season, based on their performance.
