Located in the eastern corner of Rwanda, Cocamu is a farmer-owned coffee cooperative that has been operating a successful coffee washing station since 2007. Cocamu's washing station is located at 1512 meters above sea level in an area with plentiful arabica coffee. Over 700 smallholder coffee farmers delivered cherry to Cocamu during the 2010 harvest. Cocamu produces high quality specialty coffee which has attracted international specialty buyers since 2007.

Participating wet mills and supplying farmers are trained and audited on a set of sustainability standards that focus on 5 categories – social responsibility & ethics, occupational health & safety, environmental responsibility, economic transparency and production & farm management.
